Bought two plastic prop pistols from my favourite costume store. They were $4 a piece.
Used brass and silver spray paint, Elmers wood filler, shaker woodshop's wood stain, and superglue. Took me about two weeks or sanding and painting. Yes, they still "fire". These are the pistols that will go with my "The Fall" costume, though I think they may work their way into more of my costumes in the future.

This looks really good! Love the changed look of the wood, although all of the small changes in the metal is stunning still.
