Description
Just finished the first three pieces of my Plunkett getup. Consists of corduroy fall-front breeches, hand dyed muslin teal shirt, and linen waistcoat.
The shirt was an exercise in the futility of following the instructions on the bottle. The first go around I followed the instructions and the colour was... off. Definitely off. I bleached it back to nearly it's original natural colour and then wound up doing two rounds of teal dye. Incidentally; I think the shirt is blue. My mum says it's green. Apparently I am slightly colourblind.
Waistcoat is fully lined and has working pockets. Pockets are AWESOME!!!! Buttons are all hand carved and drilled, then stained and sealed.
I'm excited to get my hands on the material for the frock coat. Waiting for a sample to come in before I decide which fabric to use. ^_^
