Musings
Wow.
The years between my DA posts gets longer and longer, but I still love maintaining this page as it's something of a diary for my life. I'll have been married to my partner for eight years in October. We have a home, great friends, wonderful critters running around, and a fantastic bunch of friends who we love and see regularly who value us the way I always hoped to be valued. It's kind of incredible to me, given how frequently people I cared about would tell me how unworthy I was and how they were doing me a favour by even allowing me in their vicinity. Life moves on. We learn. We adapt. We face challenges. Our art changes; sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Sometimes in ways we never expected. The older I get, the more I return to the things I loved when I first started this page. I now get to see them through a completely new lens. I now get to recreate costumes with the benefit of more than a decade of skills under my belt. The upcoming year will be filled, hopefully, with the return of some of my OG fandoms and some bucket list items.
Lets keep going, shall we?

I know DA is kinda goin' down the tubes. Along with the rest of the world, given our current bullshit administration.
I've been happily married to the love of my life for a whole year! I have a great new job and the future looks hopeful, even given the darkness our government is promising to put in our way.
2015
I proposed to my girlfriend of four years and she said yes. We are beginning preliminary preparations, which will include a mini vacation for both of us to our preferred destination to investigate locations and options. (HELLZ YES BEACH!!!)
I recently started a new job and an even better one may be on the horizon.
Doctor Who is already more epic and fantastic than ever and ALL OF THE WHOUFFALDI is happening.
Our cosplay dockett is full of new and exciting (and probably challenging) costumes that I can't wait to get started on.
And really, what more can one ask for?
Dargancran 2014 was a complete SUCCESS!
I actually only bought three things this year (two out of three things being out of necessity ie: A TARDIS blankie and a TARDIS bottle opener.)
We met so many actors this year, I actually think we spent most of our time in the Walk of Fame. When I was dressed as Darth Maul, we went to meet Tony Curran after we took our picture with him, he asked if it was ok for him to take a picture of me with him on his phone so he could tweet it to Ray Park. I may or may not have made noises only dogs could hear after we left his table.
I think, much to my own surprise, the Star Wars group was on equal footing with LOTR and our OUAT costumes in terms of how excited I was to wear them. I made
a surprise set of Jedi robes to wear while I did Darth Maul and 
did a Sith version of Padme Amidala. I shall perhaps add more to this later, for now I need to spleep. After I turn on "Into the Dalek" and watch it for the fourth time today.
